New user? Start here
Three steps. Steps 1 and 2 are commands you paste into a terminal on your own computer: they create your own account on a lab machine and start Claude there, as you. Step 3 is one line you give that Claude.
Only a terminal: you paste the ssh commands of steps 1 and 2. No agent runs here.
Claude runs here, in your own account, in a tmux session
called claude. All the work happens here. Root is used once, in step 1, only to create your
account.
Before you start: join the lab's Tailscale network (ask Roman, the lab lead, in #community-lab on the
AI Foundry Discord). Each ssh below may print a login.tailscale.com link: open it in your browser, approve
it, and the command goes on.
Lowercase letters, digits, - and _, starting with a letter. It fills the commands below.

On your computer
1. Create your account
This logs in to the lab machine as the shared
root, creates your own account (no password, no sudo), and logs out. You never use root again. It ends with "created …". If it says your username already exists: go on if the account is yours, otherwise choose another username.

2. Start Claude on the lab machine
This logs in as you, installs Claude Code in your account, fetches the lab's brief, starts Claude in a tmux session, and attaches your terminal to it. The first time, Claude asks you to sign in: open the link it shows, sign in, and paste the code back into the terminal; then trust the folder.

3. Give Claude the brief
Paste this line. Claude reads the brief, picks a free card on this machine, runs a first test, and asks you before it touches a card.
Later
To come back, on your computer: . To leave Claude running: Ctrl-b, then d. If you see
a shell prompt instead of Claude, type claude. To use another machine, run steps 1 and 2 again with it
chosen above.
